I'm a Navy veteran, a small-business owner, and a citizen-legislator. I've balanced budgets, fought to put parents in control of schools, and I'm running for Congress to fight for working families—without becoming part of the D.C. circus.

I entered this race focused on border security and the fentanyl crisis. I'll complete high-priority barriers, hire and equip more agents, deploy proven technology, tighten asylum loopholes, and go after cartel supply chains. My opponent voted against the 2023 Secure the Border Act (H.R. 2). I'll vote to secure the border—because safer communities in Clark, Cowlitz, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum depend on it.
Families are getting crushed by inflation. I'll push for a pro-growth, pro-work agenda: cut wasteful spending that feeds inflation, reduce red tape on small manufacturers, and protect the skilled-trades economy that powers Southwest Washington. I've signed paychecks and solved real-world problems—experience I'll bring to D.C. My opponent talks press releases; I'll deliver results for paychecks and prices.
We can show compassion and still enforce the law. I'll pair compassion with consequences: shut down open-air drug markets, support local camping bans when shelter is available, supercharge fentanyl interdiction, and fund detox and mental-health beds. I'll make sure Southwest Washington doesn't slide into the disorder we've seen across the river.
Affordable energy = affordable life. I'll champion market-based production including hydropower, solar, oil, natural gas and nuclear power. The need for energy has never been greater with AI data centers and a growing population demanding ever more power. We must never go back to a time when we were dependent on foreign despots for our energy needs.
Parents—not bureaucrats—have the right to know what's happening in their kids' classrooms. I support the Parents Bill of Rights at the federal level. In Washington, I opposed policies that cut parents out of critical decisions; my opponent voted against the House's parents' rights bill. At the state level, I authored the College Affordability Program—the largest cuts to public university tuition in the nation. College should be a ladder up, not a debt trap. I'll fight to rein in tuition costs and expand access to skilled-trades training so every young person in Southwest Washington has a path to a good career.
As a retired Navy officer, I know readiness matters. I'll support a lethal, modern force, care for veterans with faster access to care and benefits and rebuild the industrial base—especially small manufacturers—so America never fights short of parts or people.
I will defend the Second Amendment and Washington's hunting traditions. In my legislative races I opposed Olympia's 2023 rifle ban because it punishes the law-abiding and doesn't target criminals. In Congress I'll protect the constitutional rights of responsible gun owners and sportsmen.
We can boost fish runs by continuing sea lion control activity. Federal law now lets states and tribes humanely remove problem sea lions on the Columbia; NOAA extended those permits. I'll secure additional funding for removal operations, hatcheries, culverts, and habitat, so fishermen see stronger returns.
Girls deserve a level playing field. I support federal protections like the House-passed Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (2023) and similar 2025 legislation. My opponent opposed the 2023 bill; I'll vote to keep women's sports based on biological sex, consistent with Title IX's original purpose.
